August 2003

I had to buy diapers, pull-ups and feminine pads all in 1 week when we were short on money and too many days until payday to try and make it through. $50 later for disposable product I mentally did a quick calculation in my head on how much I'd spend a year on this stuff. That was the day I decided I was switching all of us to cloth.

At first I put my then 2year old in cloth diapers at night with the intention of making my 1year old diapers.

I ended up purchasing my 1year old cloth diapers because it was easier. I made myself some cloth pads. They were asthetically not very pleasing, made out of cheap materials and 6 layers of flannel. They worked but weren't that great. I purchased some new materials and tweaked my pattern.

December 2003

Mother and Maiden Pads were born. I have tweaked the pattern a bit more since then and I am using different materials, but that was the start.

June 2004

My menstrual pads finally have a real name. After searching and finding no similar names, I have decided to call them Mother and Maiden Pads. A year after this I noticed a few companies are now using parts of this name. If it doesn't say MOTHER AND Maiden then they aren't true MMP's.

September 2005

I added the Ashera Liners. I had been meaning to do it for a while and finally got around to it. They are made the same way as the Pads are but are thinner and the Ultra Thins don't have a soaker. They also come wingless

Janurary 2006

Need something to carry/store your Mother and Maiden Pads or Ashera Liners in? I have now added Wetbags, though they will be getting a better name once I think of something. Right now you can find them on my new Mother and Maiden Hyena Cart along with fabrics that are not available on this site. The Wetbags will be added to Mother and Maiden in a few days.

February 2006

The wetbags have been names - Sagarus Wetbags and have been added to the Mother and Maiden site.

June 2006

14" Postpartum Pads and Liners were added. The 14" Pads have 1 extra layer of soaker while the Liners do not have an extra layer they are simply longer.

July 2006

Raspbaby was added as a retailer

September 2006

In my Hyena Cart I added Petite Pads and Liners. They are a skinnier pad with shorter and smaller wings.

October 2006

Mini Sagarus Wetbags were added to the collection. They are a smaller bag for those who wish to take only a couple pads with them.

DiaperWare was added as a new retailer.

January 2007

Shipping prices were updated with 3 choices.

February 2007

Product pricing was updated and changed to reflect market & business purchasing changes.
